Michael’s culinary journey has been shaped by mentorship from some of the finest chefs in the world, including Raymond Blanc, Joël Robuchon, and Bernard Loiseau. After establishing himself in the restaurant world, he went on to create his own highly acclaimed dining experiences, including the renowned Lympstone Manor in Devon. Under Michael’s direction, the restaurant at Lympstone Manor was awarded a Michelin star just six months after opening and has since garnered numerous accolades, including five AA Rosettes and Two Michelin Keys.

Beyond his acclaimed career in Michelin-starred kitchens, Michael also regularly appears on popular TV cooking shows such as Sunday Brunch, Great British Menu, and Cooking with the Stars. Michael has also played a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of chefs through the Michael Caines Academy at Exeter College.
