An intimate series of wine dinners pairing leading producers with a five-course menu by Michael Caines, hosted in The Stafford’s historic cellar.

Step into The Stafford London’s historic wine cellar for From Vine to Cellar, a series of intimate wine dinners bringing together renowned producers and MICHELIN-starred dining. Each evening explores the story behind the wines, with a menu by Michael Caines designed to complement each pairing.
On 30th September from 6:30pm, we welcome Taylor’s and Fladgate Family Wines for an evening exploring the wines of Portugal. Beginning with a glass of Colinas Cuvée Reserve Blanc de Blancs 2015 and canapés, guests will journey through a selection of still wines and Ports, culminating in the Douro Valley, the historic home of Port.
The evening will be hosted by André Luís Martins, wine expert for Fladgate Wines, who will guide guests through the wines and their regions, sharing the stories and winemaking heritage behind each bottle. Dinner will begin at 7pm, with each wine paired with a menu by Michael Caines and his team, including Orkney scallops, roast sea bass and grouse, before concluding with Taylor’s Sentinel Vintage Port 2022 and Taylor’s Golden Years 50 Year Old Tawny Port.
Nestled beneath the hotel, The Stafford’s wine cellar spans over 400 years of history and houses a collection of more than 8,000 bottles from some of the world’s most respected producers. Within this historic setting, From Vine to Cellar offers a relaxed, conversational evening centred around the producer, the wines and the menu.
