Long Champagne afternoons begin with Le Picnic by Veuve Clicquot
From 1 June to 31 August, The Stafford courtyard will be transformed in partnership with Veuve Clicquot, bringing the spirit of Le Picnic to the heart of St James’s.
Hidden behind our historic London mews, the courtyard will take on a golden summer glow inspired by Veuve Clicquot’s Solaire way of life — long afternoons, chilled Champagne and relaxed open-air dining beneath the city sun. Inspired by the elegance of a French summer picnic, guests will discover floral-filled tables, Veuve Clicquot touches throughout the courtyard and seasonal details designed to capture the ease of summer entertaining.

All-day dining from 12pm until 9pm.
Please note guests aged 17 years old and younger are not permitted in the bar from 6.00pm until closing, Monday to Sunday.
Reservation Policy
Reservations can be made direct or via our online booking system from 10am to 8pm, accommodating up to 4 guests per booking. Reservations will be held for 15 minutes and then released.
Walk-In Policy
While reservations are encouraged to ensure seating, we will make every effort to accommodate walk-in guests whenever possible.
Minimum Spend Policy
Courtyard seating is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. A minimum spend of £45.00 per person applies for non-residents dining in the courtyard between 12pm and 9pm, for up to 2 hours.
Veuve Clicquot Sunset Hour
As the day turns to evening, the courtyard transitions into Sunset Hour, celebrating golden-hour drinking with Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label and Rosé served by the glass alongside seasonal pairings including Lobster & Prawn Rolls and Truffle Fries with Parmesan. Available daily from 4pm – 7pm, the menu is designed for after-work drinks, leisurely summer evenings and Champagne moments in the heart of St James’s.
Le Picnic
Enjoy a summer afternoon with Le Picnic, designed to be enjoyed in one of London’s nearby parks or green spaces. Choose from Le Picnic Brut at £185, including two afternoon teas and a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Brut, or Le Picnic Rosé at £225, featuring two afternoon teas and a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Rosé. Available throughout the summer months.
